Boats and Fishing Tackle

The flats of the Florida Keys, particularly Key Largo and Islamorada are known for great sight fishing opportunities. Many times we'll actually see the fish we are stalking before we go after them. But we also have deeper exposed waters too. So that I may best accommodate you for each of these types of fishing I have two boats...

Dolphin Super Skiff

I use my Dolphin Super Skiff for sight fishing with two anglers or less. It is designed to traverse the shallow flats in search of fish that we'll cast directly at. It moves incredibly quiet when polled, Key Laro Fishing allowing us to come very close to fish without being noticed or spooking them.

It is perfect for fly fishing or using artificial lures on spinning tackle. When we're on this boat we're hunters, moving silently around the flats, completely undetected.

But be sure to practice your casting, as many times you may only get one shot at a trophy fish before they realize you are there and vanish.

Ranger Bay Boat

I use this boat when live bait fishing or when I have more than two anglers. It's perfect for fishing with more than two anglers, or kids. It runs smooth, comfortable, and dry. Islamorada Fishing

Tackle

It really depends on the customer - Some anglers like to fly fish, and some like spinning tackle. All are effective and fun ways to fish in the Florida Keys. I have both types of tackle available so that I am able to easily suit your skills.
